12-19-00 Wahoo. Ed and Ryan make a respectable motel (with a big waterslide even) at 11:02 pm. The CJ is still in one piece, nobody stole our skiis or bikes, we are looking good. 3-1/2 days to get here. The weather was bad the entire way. With better weather you can do it in 3 days, that's to Wyoming via I-90.
12-19-00 I guess anytime is a good time to clean the windshield on the CJ. Even at 11:17 pm. Ryan disassembled, repaired, reconstructed, assembled, filed, sanded, welded, and prepped every square inch of the 1983 CJ-7 so he was taking real good care of it on the trip.
12-19-00 11:31pm and Ryan's already on the waterslide. 14 minutes ago he was outside scraping the CJ windshield. This motel was brand new. They were still getting setup for the upcoming Christmas holiday.
12-20-00 The Big Sky Tram. It takes about 20 skiers up to some big skiing. No crowds here. One look and most skiers would pass. Actually there was some easier skiing off the back side. Big Couliar is on the right. A transceiver, shovel and a buddy are required to ski it.
12-20-00 Here we are with our buddy Brad after a hard day of skiing. He drove up from Billings to carve a few turns with us. Brad was a Ski Patroller at Waterville Valley for several years and knows his way around a mountain. Thanks Brad- see you next year.
